The Word: If you're going to use an imported slogan, the least you could do is get the bar on par with the idea being advertised. Tally Ho has less imports than as Chili's, no stews or potted pies and an overriding lack of character.
The Spot: Sticking out like a sore thumb in an office strip, the Tally Ho at least makes this the most exciting business strip in North Tampa. Expansive on the inside, the pub is a bastion of recycled beer promos, including Bud Light spinning holograms, Corona tiki ware, Foster's surfboards, Anheuser tables and Killian's lamps.
The Juice: Killian's is the closest thing to an import, with the usual suspects up for draft. The bottle list is also thin with Corona being the rarity here. The happy hour specials ($1.75 an import) come close to bailing the bar out, though.
The Grub: An even slighter obligatory bar menu than most. Mini-burgers are fairly decent if you must partake.
The Selling Point: The name makes it sounds like a British pub, which would make it the only one in this part of town. But it's a trick, which makes it just another regular old pub in the USF area. That's the antithesis of a selling point, and that's the best I can do.

I was going to this bar twenty years ago and it was a busy place. It changed owners a couple of times and run into the ground. The best thing that could have happened was Scott and Shelly. The service, the food and the great staff. Everybody goes out of their way to make sure each visit is better than the last. the constant work on the bar means that they care about us , the paying customer. My son will not eat a burger any place else. Going from pub to full service bar again is another step up.

Go Tally Ho! The best spot for lunch and happy hour in the area. Gorgeous ladies, prompt service, good food, cheap prices. Try the mini-burgers, they're phenomenal!! Non-smokers be warned, this is a smoky pub/pool hall environment, so if you're sensitive to cigarettes, skip the Ho.

My husband and I went to the Tally Ho on a Monday Night at about 7:00PM. The pub was not crowded nor busy. The server approched and ask what we would like to drink. She served us a pitcher and then left. We waited for 30 minutes and she never returned to take our order. It became clear that since we were and older couple that we were not worthy of her time. This is the second time that this has happened to us at the same pub. We deffiently will not return nor recommend the Tally Ho.

Scott and Shelly bring a breath of fresh air to this otherwise desolate office park on 56th. The beer is cold food is hot and bartenders are hotter. Shelly and her staff greet you with a warm smile and hello once you walk through the door. TALLY HO!!!!!!!!!

This place is the best! Awsome Owners, Awsome Bartenders, Awsome cooks. If you ever want a great place to " be yourself " then this is it. When you go there, YOU come first. Not your regular " run of the mill " pub/bar. You get treated by not only the best looking bartenders but get treated good as well, and that to me, is a BIG PLUS.Anyone who hasnt been there, should try it. I promise , you will have a good time.

I have to agree with all the praise. Tally ho pub is a great place. I have been a regular there since january and recently i have been lucky enough to get a job in the kitchen there. I love my job! all the girls are sweet and pretty and go outof thier way to make it a fun loving place to hang out. As for Scott and Shelly, not only are they great people, but They have been working thier butts off renovating the bar. we now have a liquor store, full liquor bar and an ever changing menu.

Customer service is outstanding; the food is great and the beer is cold! Scott and Shelly go out of their way to meet the needs of their customers.....My son's entire youth football team from PeeWees to Varsity descend on Tally Ho a couple of times a season on a Saturday afternoon and they go out of their way to serve us. ....including bringing in extra fryers and extra help! They have updated and rennovated and existing establishment and done a great job!....I agree with Chris- CHECK IT OUT!

Scott and Shelly have not only revived but are constantly improving one of the nicest NOW BAR atmospheres in the south Temple Terrace areas. With a new full bar and an always updated menu, the owners and general manager Richie (watch out girls!) are constantly listening to their customers and adapting to the needs of the needs of the community. One of the nicest attributes of this establishment is the wrap-around glass view and the wide open feeling. Go see for your self and thank you.

First of all .. if the person who wrote this review had done his homework, he'd realize that when the new owners took over, they chose to keep the EXISTING name. Let's try not to bash new owners for choosing to maintain the bar's original name. Second of all... they have great food, a quick kitchen, extremely friendly staff, and in my opinion, an almost "Cheers-like" atmosphere. Scott and Shelly have brought Tally Ho's to the map and should be commended for their outstanding bar & grill !!!

WTF are you talking about? Tally Ho is a great place. Granted, they don't have a crapload of imports, they do have 8 pool tables, as well as at least 10 dart boards, hot bartenders, and their menu is actually good. Whoever wrote the above article is either ignorant, and hasen't been to this place in the last 3 years.
