Review
The Word: Easily one of the best hangouts in Tampa for food or drink. It's not overpriced by any means and offers a near priceless patio for your pleasure.
The Spot: This classy yet sophisticated bistro and bar sits on the shores of Harbour Island, with a foliage-filled patio looking out on the St. Pete Times Forum and the Tampa Convention Center. The breeze blows through waterside seating and onto postmodern art hung on yellow walls and marble bar, keeping the entire atmosphere cooler than most.
The Juice: Say what you want about upper-class Harbour Island folks, but they like a good beer. The cafe caters to their needs with a selection (Blue Moon, Stella Artois, Boddingtons) worthy of an essential pub. A fine wine selection rounds out the party.
The Grub: The menu covers a lot of the bistro bases, whether it's grilling up skirt steaks, tossing taco salads or baking piping pizzas.
The Selling Point: Something about this patio -- the view, the breeze or the peace and quiet -- makes Dufrain one of the most chill pads this side of Pass-a-Grille.
