Studio@620 "Wake Up Different in the Terrible Mirror of the Sky," new works by Carol Dameron. Dameron paints with a beautiful, Old World richness, using oil on wood, that recalls earlier centuries and masters. But the narrative is thoroughly contemporary, asking the viewer to interpret its symbolism in personal ways. See the collection, including the painting shown at right, at Studio@620, 620 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg, Fri. (5/12) through June 10. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Tue.-Sat. An opening reception Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. is free to the public.
