Get your hamster revving for Petco's first nationwide Hamster Ball Derby on Saturday (9/9). The plastic balls with the critters running inside will be racing through area Petco stores, but please no wagering. Warmup rounds begin at 1:30 p.m. and races start at 2. It's BYOH and a hamster ball, but the winner at each store will get a new Super Pet Dazzle Run-About Ball, pictured at right. The other top four finishers will get a Super Pet Hamtrac Circle Track. Hamster must be in a hamster ball to qualify.
