O'Maddy's opens out to Boca Ciega Bay, across from the pier in Gulfport. The bar starts right up front, as soon as you walk in, and extends to the back by the pool tables. There's a small karaoke stage, a fake lit-up palm tree, vinyl bench covers and an overall blue theme. The popular watering hole has karaoke every night - a big draw for a lot of its customers. The atmosphere has a very casual, come-as-you-are feel. Shorts, jeans, T-shirts, sandals, baseball caps are welcome. Don't try to impress with strappy high heels or designer wear. This is a neighborhood beach bar. Smoking is permitted. The diverse crowd ranges from college students to the 40- and 50-somethings.
