| Note: The following documentation assumes iTunes is installed on your computer. If not, please download and install it free from www.itunes.com.
1. To prepare your iPod to be enabled for disk use, connect the device to your computer, open iTunes and select your iPod from the iTunes list (typically shows up on the left side after youve connected). 2. Right click on your iPod icon in iTunes to bring up your preferences. Check the box labeled "Enable disk use." Disk use is also enabled if you select the "Manually manage songs and playlists." Keep your iPod connected to your computer. 3. Download the tbtBarGuide.zip file to your computer and unzip it to your desktop using your favorite utility. Unzipping the bar guide zip file creates a folder named tbt bar guide. 4. Navigate to your iPod, which should now appear as a drive on your computer (on a Mac, look on your desktop, on a PC look under My Computer) and open the Notes folder. Copy the tbt bar guide folder into your iPod's Notes folder. 5. Safely disconnect your iPod from your computer. 6. On your iPod, select Extras from the Main Menu, then select Notes. 7. Select tbt bar guide. From here, you have a choice of viewing the listings by All Bars, By City, By Type or By Theme. 8. To get details for any bar, use the iPod's scroll wheel and click to open it. To go back to the previous screen, click on the iPod's menu button. General Notes When your first use your iPod after synching it with iTunes, you may notice a "Notes Loading" message on your iPod screen. The iPod indexes new notes, and won't need to index again until you have added or updated your 'Notes'. Your iPod can support up to 1000 notes no larger than 4KB each. |
